Kia ora! I'm Tracey - A Certified Buddhist Counsellor, Mindfulness & Somatic Based Psychotherapist, Divine Sleep® Yoga Nidra Guide, and Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with 26 years experience.

Culturally I am a 'Mozzie' (Australian Maori), born in NZ, raised and educated in Sydney, and have lived and worked in London, NSW, Qld, and NZ. Although raised in Sydney, I am proudly connected to my Maori ancestry and the tribe and land that I come from in Aotearoa/NZ.

I work with adults (mainly women) who have a history of trauma and my preference is for longer term therapy. I will bring my knowledge of Western, Eastern, and Maori approaches to working with trauma and provide a nurturing therapy space guided by the Buddhist values of Loving Kindness, Compassion, Equanimity, and Joy. Not forgetting the good sprinkling of Maori humour that I bring to the mix.

Specifically, I can help you understand how trauma has impacted your nervous system and start guiding you to where life feels manageable again. This is done with a combination of traditional talking therapy, Somatic & Mindfulness based strategies, Education about the Brain and Nervous System, and the gradual development of Loving Kindness and Compassion toward yourself. We will work together to help you discover your unique pathway to healing, self acceptance, and reconnection with your True Self (and Inner Wisdom).

I can accept Mental Health Care Plans with a referral from your GP or Psychiatrist. This will reduce the out-of-pocket expense to you. I also accept NDIS Plan Managed clients.
