Safaa Hakim has a Graduate Diploma in Counselling and a bachelor’s degree in social science (Psychology) from Australia. She is a registered Psychotherapist and Counsellor who has had worked in the mental health services since 2005. As well as being a counsellor, she has a wealth of life experience and compassion about guiding her clients to explore their difficulties and strengthen their emotional wellbeing to have a more productive and fulfilling life.
Safaa provides specific counselling in the areas of anxiety, stress, depression, grief, relationship, as well as other cognitive behaviour issues. She also offers a wide range of counselling services to support the needs of corporate employees.
Safaa is an ethical, benevolent, non-judgmental, and supportive therapist. She was born in the Middle East and visited 32 different countries in her adult life. This enables her to build and nurture an environment that is safe and inclusive for therapy practices that are tailored to each individual client.
Safaa is a bilingual Arabic/English speaker, and her practice is subtle to the needs of people from a diversity of ethnic and sexuality backgrounds through an approach of mutual respect, patience, and empathy.
