My name is Anna Davies. I am the founder of Ubuntu Wellness; a multifaceted psychology practice incorporating individual counselling, mindfulness-based courses, workshops and retreats.

Through these offerings, I weave my passion for Western Psychology, Neuroscience and the Mind Body connection with the Eastern traditions of Buddhist Psychology, Mindfulness, Meditation and Yoga.

My approach is very person centred. I focus on the person, not their symptoms. I embody a very non-judgmental, accepting, compassionate approach. I work to support individuals to learn to respond to themselves in this same way. Fostering greater self-acceptance and self-compassion.

My holistic approach to healing includes working with:

THE MIND: To gain clarity, space , awareness and perspective
THE BODY: To feel grounded, heal old wounds and be fully embodied and live in the here and now.
THE HEART: To connect with your innate capacity for inner peace and compassion for self and others.

In addition to my work, I am the mother of two small children. This is where I really put my own work into practice.

The practices of Mindfulness, Self-Compassion and a regular meditation and yoga practice have been invaluable for me to help navigate the stress and fatigue involved in being a parent, whilst being truly present to appreciate the joys and the magic of being with my children.

It is in these experiences that I am taught to embrace the messiness, the beauty, the unpredictability and the impermanence of life and our shared human experience, learning to ride the waves as I go.
