Hi, I’m Narelle, a counsellor with 11 years of experience. I work to ensure that my practice is a safe place for all who require it. I believe that by providing a setting of genuine comfort that I can set about my role of genuinely listening to the unique issues of my clients in order to truly help them work through their concerns.

I have a diverse history in counselling, having worked with children, adolescents, adults and families, and particular experience with those experiencing mental health and or drug use concerns. I approach my consultations with the utmost of care, applying all of my knowledge and experience to meet the specific and unique needs of my clients.

My approach is highly individualised and supportive, focusing on your unique concerns to ensure that you get what you want out each session, and your life as a whole. Solution-focused, my emphasis is always on providing the utmost support and best results for my clients.

I specialise in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a modern, scientific approach to mindfulness-based, values-oriented behavioural therapy, firmly rooted in cutting-edge research into human behavioural psychology. ACT emphasises learning to accept what is out of our control, and committing to what you want your life to be, and has proven effective in helping to overcome anxiety and its crippling effects on our lives.

In addition to working with individuals, I also provide research-based, goal-oriented support for couples. Using Gottman Method Couples Therapy, I help partners increase respect, affection and closeness, break through and resolve conflict, generate greater understanding between each other, and teach how to keep conflict discussions calm.
