Life is inherently uncertain and inevitably involves coping with challenging issues. While we all share a common humanity, we also are complex individuals with our own characteristic ways of responding to such challenges based on our past experiences and learned ways of responding.
In my counselling practice, I help and support individuals and couples to cope more effectively with their psychological difficulties. I use a person-centred approach as I genuinely believe that clients, even though they may not be consciously aware at the time, have within them the capacity and resources to to lead more creative and satisfying lives.
Through an array of different counselling models - Psychodynamic .Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused and Brief Intervention - as appropriate in each particular setting, I affirm that clients can achieve greater inner peace and harmony and improved health and wellbeing.
Integrating formal studies over many years with practical, hands-on experience - business and commercial interests, Lifeline Telephone Counsellor and qualified mediator (conflict resolution practitioner) - uniquely allows me to offer a grounded, balanced counselling service resulting in positive outcomes.
